South Fulton Parkway Access Management

The Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) is performing an access management study to enhance the access, operations and safety of South Fulton Parkway (US 29 Alt/SR 14 Alt). South Fulton Parkway provides a critical transportation system linkage that has the potential for facilitating and serving the growth of the southwestern portion of metro Atlanta. It also serves as a primary commuter route, as well as primary access to businesses, organizations, and residences along the corridor. The study involves evaluation of current and future traffic and land use conditions along the corridor. The result will be the development of an access management plan that provides transportation and land use policy guidance and recommendations to improve the transportation infrastructure needed to satisfy future travel demand. MPH and Associates, Inc. is managing the bicycle, pedestrian, and transit portions of the study.
